I've Got Sunshine
I know the time change has made it hard to get up in the morning but I LOVEEEEE it. I swear it is one of favorite times of the year. The extra sunlight in the evening makes me a much happier person.

Design Home 100, A Great Additon To My Coffee Table
I am still mourning the loss of several magazines, one in particular is Metropolitan Home. Even if modern design is not your personal favorite, it was always a great source for ideas you could incorporate into your abode. Well, now there a book that will make the loss of the beloved magazine a little easier....
Design 100: The Last Word On Modern Interiors is a collection of images put together by Michael Lassell, former Features Editor for Metropolitan Home. I was excited to sit down and study all the images. Page after page I found myself earmarking images, inspiration was found everywhere. Below are a few of the hundred spaces that I really loved.
Above, Dave Chihuly's 88 foot long dining table (one solid slab of fir) is the perfect base to the display of blown glass light fixtures. The image below does not have the "wow" factor of the previous but it is equally inspirational. Many times people are scared to mix different wood, textures or hues of a particular color. This houseboat (yes you read that right) designed by Tim Carlander is a great example of how to mix items that don't seem to naturally go together.
I clearly have a thing for dining spaces because a significant portion of the images I marked had something to do with eating areas. Kelly Hoppen's townhome featured in the book is amazing. This dining picture is full of ideas- multiple lights (love), long benches mixed with different chairs, open shelving and art on the floor are just a few.
And last but not least this is probably my favorite of all. Maybe it is the skylight providing all that natural light in the bathroom. Or perhaps it is the pop of color or chandelier. Whatever it may be, this bathroom belonging to Melissa and Marc Palazzo is going into my "one day" file...

Just Another Thing To Add
I was on the hunt for more information on this vacant latch I saw in this ad...
Which brought me to the Ginger's website. No luck on said latch but I did find many other pieces of hardware which I will be adding to my "one day house" list...
Man their door knobs are pretty. Our current door knobs are....well....heinous (to match our cheap, cheap interior doors). One day when I have pretty interior doors something like one of these will be adorning them.

There is something I really like about oval door knobs, I think they fit my hand better...
The back behind these knobs I just love. My sister in law moved into a house with similar hardware and was going to get rid of all of them and told her NOOOOOOO!!!
Have I mentioned on here that I want a lion door knocker? E.H. the search continues!

I won't even get started today on my "one day" shower but I will tell you something like this will be part of it...

Yellow Wedges Take Two
Last year I bought these Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges. If y'all remember, all C.V.'s shoes sold out quickly leaving a lot of people not happy.
Every time I wear those shoes I get asked where they are from and it always pains me to tell them they are no longer available. However, while perusing the Target website today I came across these and I think they are pretty good substitute...
And the $24.99 price tag makes me like them even more...

Another Sneak Peek
If I can, I try to be at the client's homes when items are delivered. However, that doesn't always happen. I left these lamps for my client to pick up when I was out of town so she was sweet enough to send me some pictures because you know I was anxious to see....
This room is close to completion, just a few more changes but I thought I would go ahead and share. I wish I had some before pictures but they built this house so really the before pictures are just an empty room.
More to come. The rest of this house is is looking so good as well, I can't wait to get more pictures!

Chained To The Laundry Room
Okay, first of all, who out there does not love a good painted floor? I know I can't get enough of them. So naturally I loved this floor I saw on Birds of a Feather.
The floor got even better when I read the pattern was picked as a tongue-in-cheek design to convey her feelings on constantly being in the laundry room. You know how I love humor in design. I highly suggest going over to check out this great before and after.

Sneak Peek
What a week...do I say that every week? I swear, there just aren't enough hours. This is how the week began...
The installation of new curtains in a client's master, always a good feeling. I love the way this room is looking. We are not finished yet (see fan) but I thought I would give you a little preview...

Coffee Table For Sale- One Time Price
A client of mine just received this coffee table but it is not going to work. It is a brand new Ricardo World's Away table made of a limed oak veneer with a mirror top and decorative studs. It is a really good looking and unique coffee table. If I had room I would keep it in a heartbeat. Size: 48"L x 20"H x 24"D.
Usually this retails for $1,150 but since we are trying to move this table it is being sold for $550. It is in perfect condition, no marks or blemishes. You can see more here. Unless buyer is willing to set up shipping we prefer a buyer who can pick up from Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN.
