She A Beaut Clark Continued...

Remember this chair from this post?It is back from the upholsters and I love it! The nursery is almost done, some little things are left and then pictures to follow.
The only problem with the chair is it was supposed to have a band around the bottom in the darker contrast fabric but it was left off. I am still debating if I will have it added (a pain for everyone involved but details are important) or just leave it.

Please don't hurt me...the chair is darling!! BUT, the dark band would send it over the top perfect.

LOVE the curtains!

I am with Lauren. Sorry , I hope the hormones aren't raging today, but I think it would make it look steller. Big hugs! Take a deep breath and make the call. You know it is the right thing to do if you feel the need to tell every visitor that sees it about the band, lol!kisses to sweet Henry:)))))

I adore it...but if it is going to bother you have them fix it, I am sure that can be done in a short amount of time. Little man has such a fun space to call his own!! xx

Looks great, but I think the band around the bottom would look even better. Also, I'm dying to know what it cost to have the chair reupholstered?? I've often come across chairs on craigslist or at consignment shops that I would love to purchase and reupholster, but having no idea what something like that costs, I have yet to give it a go. I often wonder if it wouldn't be just as expensive to buy a new chair??

OK, I'm with everyone else, sorry! I would also add the band at the bottom to create visual weight. Because the upper portion of the chair has so much dark trim and shadows created by the buttons, I think the bottom needs to be weighed down a bit to keep this chair looking proportional.

If you don't mind my askin', how much did she set you back?

Don't even get me started using movie quotes. They are funny!!

Ahywho, this is a chair after my heart. I actually want 2 of them for my new family room.

My first post that I deleted said you did an awesome job on the upholstery... I read it again...and you had someone do it...either way...I love it!!!

I love seeing things transition! Good job :)

As for the band, I would not stress. Evaluate the length of the skirt and size band you had elected to use and see if you think it can still accommodate it. Also, what the band will do in conjunction with the striped rug, providing the chair is staying positioned where it is in the photo.

Overall, you don't have to make the decision in a hurry...take your time. I added so many contrasting trims to our nursery chair that it arrived 3 weeks after our son was born. And all was well....just breathe and celebrate your miracle ;)

Looks great BUT it def. needs the band of darker contrast. That would kick it up a notch, for sure!

good job girlfriend! I am almost finished with a wingback I gave the ole DIY effort to and let me tell you, I know why it costs $500+ to have something re-upholstered. It's hard
