Big News- Baby On Board!

That is right, there is a baby in our future - I am pregnant! I am 17 weeks this week with a due date the end of August. That means that we have 3 more weeks before we find out what we are having, but we are going to find out. When we found out we were pregnant this Finn Anthropologie Rocker was the first thing I marked that I would love to have. But alas, the price tag makes it a just dream (although truth be told I think Patrick is relieved).

Until this past week I was really sick. On top of being busy with work it is all I could do to function so I am sorry if I have been slacking around here lately. I think I have turned the corner so we will see.

On that note a quick thank you to the following things that made the past couple of months doable: Sprite Zero, Wendy's baked potatoes, Perrier/Pellegrino, Mac & Cheese and Eggo Waffles. If you should ever find yourself feeling nauseated at all times I highly recommend something from this list!

Marianne,
Congrats!! How exciting!! And I am glad you are feeling better. I don't know why they call it morning sickness..doesn't it seem to last all day? xoSissy

Congradulations!!!! I consider myself an expert on nausea...I find having so protein helps...some people say carbs but protein makes you feel better longer.Hope you continue to feel better

CONGRATULATION!!! Every good and perfect gift is from above.

As someone who was not having children and got a big surprise after 10 years of marriage, I just want to say that it is the GREATEST thing that could ever happen to you.

People always say "Your life will never be the same" but they forget to add "in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY and you will miss NOTHING about your life before". Yay!!! So happy for you.

congratulations! I am 5 weeks away from my due date, and can COMPLETELY relate to mac & cheese saving my first trimester :) that and juice mixed with pellegrino as an alternative to water, when you feel like you can drink no more water! I look forward to seeing your nursery thoughts and plans come to fruition on your blog!!

Congratulations! Glad the morning sickness looks like it might be over for you. With my first, I felt great the whole way, was never sick, continued to run through my second trimester. With the second, I was sick the whole way. Every smell of any kind made me hang my head over a toilet. I always say if I had my second pregnancy the first go around, I'd never have had a second go.

Can't wait to share in your journey decorating the new nursery.

How wonderful, Marianne! Congratulations! I'm glad to hear you are turning a corner with the morning sickness, I hope you continue to feel well. Enjoy every moment - we just welcomed our second child (a son, so now we have one of each!), and I can say that being a mother is the greatest experience of a woman's life!

Oh, and I cannot wait to see what you do with the nursery, this little baby will have one very fashionable space to come home to!

Oh, Marianne, that is wonderful news!! I'm so excited for you and glad the nausea is letting up. I can empathize - had the same thing with both my pregnancies. You're right, those things do help. I also had to take Zofran with my second - miracle drug.

Love that rocker too but I'm sure you'll find an even better more economical choice that will be perfect. So excited for you!!!

Yay! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I was sick for three months during my pregnancy so I know how that goes. My baby is 2 months old this week and I am still struggling to get posts back up on the blog so it's totally understandable if you need to take a break to feel better!

Shera O said...

Congrats!! You will love being a mommy...although crazy at times, it's amazing. Sorry about not feeling so hot...I was the same with all 4 pregnancies. My advice...eat a lot. The nausea usually comes when you are hungry. My go-to meal was Taco Bell Bean burritos. : )

A big congtratulations to you both! What beautiful news.. except the part where you have been so ill! I really hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, look after yourself and take it easy!!

CONGRATS, Marianne! I ate a LOT of macaroni and cheese when I was preggers with my twin boys, so I'm right there with you!

Unknown said...

Congratulations! That is soooo exciting! I can 'feel' your nauseous pain - my daughter is 14 weeks and she has her list of what she can eat and not eat - which ironically changes weekly. One week she only wants to eat one thing, the next week ... she can't stand the idea of it! Sprite has been high on her list from the beginning ;)
Hope you feel great soon - and I hope you get that amazing looking rocker! I will have to check that out too as I may need a rocker now that I will be a 'grandma'!!! xo Sherri

Funny that mac and cheese I ate nearly everyday when I was pregnant with Harry for a good portion of that time. I cannot even stomach looking at it anymore :) Congrats again!

If you want that rocker, you will have it. Find the perfect frame and a great Ikat fabric and voila, IT'S YOURS. You are savy and can't wait to see what you select.

Again, Congratulations!
