Quiet Time

Comforting isn't it? Reminds me of one of my favorite reads:

Remember WHOSE you are. You are God's child

Remember WHAT God has promised you - the priceless gift of eternal life

Remember WHO will see you through -God will protect you until you reach your final destination: heaven.

Remember WHY God lets you go through trials - God wants to test the genuineness of your faith so that your life will result in praise and glory when Jesus returns. Although it is great to spend time on a "spiritual mountaintop" we cannot stay there forever. More often than not, at the bottom of that mountain lies cold, hard reality. Yet fruit grows best in the valleys not on the mountaintops. Our greatest character development takes place when we take what we have learned on the mountaintop and put it into practice in the valley.

I have posted this before HERE, thank you to Kara once again for sending it to me.

OH Yes!! I also love Be still and know I am God!! Those words have such power in them for me. I think with the busyness of life we forget to be still and be with God. I love my quiet time in the mornings on my porch with my cup of coffee, sprinklers and most importantly MY GOD!! Have you read The Purpose Driven Life? I highly reccomend it. Happy Weekend Kathysue

I linked to your blog throuhg another, love this post. The primary age children (3-12) in our church sing a song entitled, "I am a Child of God" it goes like this:
I am a child of God
and He has sent me here.
Has given me an earthly home,
with parents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me,
walk beside me.
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do,
to live with Him someday.
I learned this song as a child, and it helps me through those rough spots, when nothing seems to be going right! I have many blessings, but one of the greatest is knowing I am a child of God.
love your blog!

Love you Marianne! I'm still reading... :) And this was a nice reminder for ME!
Will be in touch with an update. She's starting new alternative treatment tomorrow morning. Please pray.

Nice reminder. I strive to do God's will daily, I am so much happier when I do.

Beautiful. This was extremely comforting to me when I was pregnant with my daughter. It can be so nerve wracking with all the tests and what not, but then I would just try to remember that my baby really belongs to God and all I could do was to let Him do His job :) I can't wait till she is older and I can tell her that.

I love the idea that fruit grows best in the valley, not on the mountaintop. Good reminder for today! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Maurie@graciousinteriors.blogspot.com

Such a great post...Those mountain top times are so wonderful and carrying them into the valley times is the key to staying fruitful, faithful and sane...tricky business sometimes!

Blessings to you Marianne!

I really needed this quote today. I lost my brother suddenly almost 4 weeks ago and have been questioning some things.
