Quiet Time- Remembering The Season

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

I LOVE Christmas. I love the decorations, the parties, the shopping, all of it. It is easy for me to forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas. Going into this season I am going to try to keep my focus on what is important, good thing God is patient and loving because I need a lot of help.

I absolutely love Christmas, too :) To your point, am I the only one who hates to see people using the word 'xmas' instead of Christmas? I really can't stand it.

Count me in on the 'I love Christmas' list.

To remind myself of the true Gift of Christmas, I try to have some type of small nativity scene/set/picture in every room of my house. Most are very small, but I have found them to be great little reminders throughout the season.

I love Christmas, too. And I'm right there with you. Praying that I will CONSTANTLY keep in mind that Jesus is the reason for the season. It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. Such a great post. And yes, it's a great thing He is so patient. :)

You're right! It is so easy to get caught up in the decorating and parties...it's crazy how easily we forget that God sent us a Savior and that is the true meaning of this holiday.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I am loving all of those snowflakes.

And you are right so many people get caught up in all the wrong things over the holidays. It's nice to step back and think about what it's all about.

So true - it's very easy to forget what Christmas is all REALLY about.

It's also my favorite holiday. From the music to the decorations, and just the general good feeling that floats through the air. It just makes me happy.

By the way, that picture is amazing!
