I'm obsessed with lacquer lately. I need to somehow use it in my rental apartment. Maybe on a peice of furniture like the black cabinet i'm painting this weekend or my tv stand. What do you think?

I would never have picked that floor for myself - I would have thought it too busy. But I would have been wrong! It looks stunning! i love it when people press the envelope with patterns like that!

JUST got finished looking thru this month's elle decor and was laughing with joy at those miles redd rooms. those black cabinets are D U M B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the shiny lacquer in both the shots! You'll have to post on it if you figure out how to get that high gloss look! I really love it!
I'm waiting behind the door for my Elle Decor issue. I love what Miles redd did with this hall way, so grand and glamorous.

Those blue lacquer look like they should be in a drag queen bordello. Can't say I agree with you on that one - but I love the kitchen.
