Not Your Ordinary Beach House

OBSESSED with this beach house. I know, based on my "style in one picture" posts here, here and here this might surprise you. When I think of beach homes, especially 2 days from the 4th I usually think more along the lines of these. However, this beach house I could study for days...
Designer Jean-Louis Deniot's beach house is filled with French antiques and amazing textures- check out the walls above. The ottoman below is bigger than my house, and I like it....
There are so many things in ever picture that I love I don't know where to begin....Although the bull head on the kitchen wall is one of my favorite touches.

The green walls, the bed, the mirror, the rug-perfection.

Tufted, blue mohair, be still my heart. Notice the curtains and walls too.

I would kill to have a nook like this in my house, not to mention the Greek key screens.
Wallpaper + Parisian flea market chest=LOVE LOVE LOVE (geez, could I overuse that more? It doesn't mean I don't use it honestly though)

And an outdoor space since it is the eve of the holiday weekend...
J'adore.

Love those black and white chairs! We have 2 little leather cubes that I don't know what to do with...I like the idea of slipcovering them (where to find)and using them like the pix above (w/ books on them, etc.)! Lovely home! You have a great, great eye! That's why I love visiting!

Oh that kitchen and bed!! Well, I'm not picky when it comes to any house that is preceded by "beach" really, but this one is quite nice!!

Hey Marianne!
Thanks for commenting on my blog! I think we might be twins too. Not only do I LOVE this beach house but everything else on your blog as well. Oh, and I also use the word LOVE alot.
That's so funny we switched places. I hope you are enjoying Birmingham! We definitely need to meet somewhere in the middle and share our LOVE of beautiful spaces.
I'm adding you to my daily reads, AKA I will officially be blog-stalking you now.

Wow amazing beach home. Totally like typical of what you think of when you thikn beach home, but it's totally perfect.

How do I not remember this from HB?

Love, love those striped chairs in the living room along with pretty much everything else in the home.

This is one more gorgeous house. Some of my favorite things are:
the black interior doors, the small wall sconces by the bed, hanging the mirror over the bed hangings, and the curved bench. And like you, there is just so much more!
Thanks.

That oversized ottoman is killer - I loved how the article describes how the homeowner can clear everything off, and use it as a lounger - Fabulous!
