If I Were A Room-Let's Try This Again

I know many of us have tried to define ourselves in one picture before. The last time I tried I was unable to pick just one. This is no shocker since I make decisions for people all day but when it comes to myself I have perpetual indecisiveness.
But this room by Suzanne Kasler may be my new favorite. Here are the reasons why:
1. The diamond sisal rug
2. The pop of color on the heavy draperies
3. The wing chair in the foreground
4. The floating framed maps
5. The custom Walter Knabe paper on the ceiling-probably my favorite
6. The styling- the boots, umbrella stand, hat, blanket, books, berry stems, etc.

I could go on but I know you get the picture. The only thing missing for me is some more grey, haha. To see the rest of this house and the views, both of which are TO-DIE-FOR visit Veranda.

You know I am a HUGE Suzanne Kasler fan. I love this room. You may want to check out her reproduction line which I highlighted in March.

I love that you revisited this... Your room choice is beautiful. Those framed maps are awesome. In your previous picks, the last bedroom is pretty close to perfect for me. I love it!

I went back and and checked my feelings on "my style" post (http://perfectsentiment.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-style.html) and it still holds true. I'm going to keep my eye out for another.

Fun post!

I love this room for all the same reasons! And are you crazy about grey right now, too? I want to paint my living room grey, but my boyfriend protests! And I want a sisal rug, but I am terrified the cats would find it perfect material for sharpening their claws :-)
Lovely choice!!!

I was just revisiting my picture too!!! Not to let the cat out of the bag but I'm in the middle of preparing part 2 of my One Picture Challenge. It'll be up on my site next week. In the meantime, come and share this at:

Love this room. Ever time I read one of these posts, I think I should do one - but I do not know where to start! there are too many rooms and styles I love. It is probably a good exercise, though, in defining what one REALLY loves and could live in. Great food for thought - thanks!

I love the style and feel of this room! I know exactly what you mean by not being able to choose design for yourself. It is so much easier making decisions for other people. :)
