Black Honey

I have received a lot of great e-mails about today's post regarding Clinique gift bags. Apparently a lot of people share my early Clinique memories. My next question is did you wear (or still wear) Black Honey?
I swear every girl in my class had this at one time. I was just curious if that was a Nashville thing or universal....

totally universal!! I thought New Englanders were the only ones obsessed with that color...guess it was all over. Too funny!

Oh my goodness! It was definitely popular in New Orleans. I know I wasn't the only one of my girlfriends who had more than one in their possession. At the time it didn't seem like a big deal. After all, it looked terrific on everyone and could be worn year round.

What is the universal lipstick/gloass these days? Any idea?

It was a Big Deal in the suburbs of Los Angeles, too. I think I still have a tube of it in a drawer somewhere. I should throw it in my purse and start using it again.

As the comment above mine said -- It works well on a lot of different complexions, which is pretty rare!

Yep. And I have red hair. That was WAY too dark for me...but I thought I looked so good

Haha, Lizzy wouldn't let me wear it, she said it was too dark! No wonder they we're known as "the strictest parents in The Bubble!"

AZ girls wore Black Honey and I love a stained lip look I was thinking of bringing it out of retirement. The quick summer lip.

"Tender Heart" by Clinique was the go to look for the majority of my friends as well as myself back in the day. We loved it and rocked it daily.

When I was in high school in Ohio, it was definitely a color sooo many girls wore! In fact, I am pretty sure one of my best friends from there still wears it religiously.

And I was all about Clinique back in the day too, especially during their gift bag times. I haven't had anything from Clinque in my makeup bag for a while, but I wonder if maybe I should take another look.

My mom always wore this color too. I remember her continuously buying it while I was growing up. I'm 26 now.
