You know I LOVE West Elm, but you don't know the history of this love affair. Our story begins many years ago in a land far, far away.....Morocco. Well not really Morocco that is just wishful thinking. However, something Moroccan was involved, this relationship all started with a rug, the Moroccan Window Rug to be exact.

I am BEGGING them to bring them back, please, please, please. Until that happens though I can be content with some of the others....

This zig zag rug may belong to me one day. I am dying to do a big graphic rug somewhere, especially after seeing
La Dolce Vita yesterday.

I am still undecided about the rug on the left, opinions? I do like the one on the right though, although it is still no Moroccan....

West Elm's rug on the right reminds a little of this rug I saw at market that I adored.

And one for the nature lovers (like myself), this room is so happy.

Happy Friday, I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend.

I was also obsessed with the Madeline Weinrib black and white stripe rug that was on the cover of Elle Decor in September. I ran across a knockoff of it at Ikea for $300 (Nate's was around $3500) and stupidly did not buy it. Sadley, they no longer make it. Pottery Barn knocked it off too, but their's are also sold out, so I had to get the only size that was left for my bedroom. I love that rug and I stalk ebay for it weekly!!
Thanks for the mention, sweetie! :)
That moroccan rug is to die for. I hope they bring it back! I do love the zig zag rug on the left, though. I think it's a great option and is slightly more "neutral" in case you should ever tire of the moroccan theme.
i was just admiring there rugs last night. so very nice.
aah! I love that rug too! I think I may have been moroccan in another life as I gravitate towards all things hailing from morocco. I want to paint that design on my walls!
I love that zigzag rug and am always looking for a knockoff!
and thanks so much for the sweet comment yesterday...
Love the zigzag rug & think it would be such a fun punch!
Have you looked at a Pottery Barn outlet? I have seen those west elm moroccan rugs there!
The West Elm Morocco Window Rug is such an awesome rug - the quality is absolutely impressive. We've had ours for about one year, but are no longer using it. So, I in the market to sell it (it's a 9x12) in seaweed (i think that was the color name..but the dark green..if you know anyone interested.) I live in Bellingham, WA, so it would have to be shipped. Let me know simply.curious@hotmail.com THANKS!
