Mondays Are For Day Dreaming NB + MS = BFF

Just indulge me... In another life Nate Berkus and I could actually be best friends. My love for Nate Berkus is long running, he was definitely my very first design crush. His book Home Rules was my first design book, thanks to my friend Sara. On Friday Oprah was a rerun with Nate on it as one of the guests, and I fell in love a little more. On top of being a very down to earth designer, he is also kind, a quality I appreciate very much. Let's start my day dream with the bed featured on the back of his book actually belonging to me, which he of course designed just for me because we are the closest of friends. ++Sorry I have to interrupt this daydream to insert another quick one here:
While researching this post I was on his website, where I can across his list of publications he had been featured in. A list like this is what every decorator/designer dreams of. There is not a good way to show them here but you can see them for yourself HERE.

Okay where were we....Oh yes, his house we would hang out in together- Harry, Henry, and Emma would also be best dog friends (as seen in Elle Decor Sept. 08)...We would have the best conversations around this table, maybe Oprah would even come by...
When we are not hanging out in Chicago he could come over to my house which of course he helped me with. It would look a lot like Katie Lee Joel's house as seen in Domino June/July 2008 since he used a lot of gray for her place...

I would live in a house that would be big enough for Nate to find me 2 chandeliers to go over my big dining room table

And I would have doors in my bedroom that opened onto a fabulous porch like the bedroom below...
Nate would also make sure my kitchen was this wonderful since he would be our frequent guest...Yes, I can see it all now, I need to put him on my Christmas card list, oh wait that is imaginary too.....You never know, it could happen. Nate, if you need a friend to go with you on your future travels you know where to find me, my bags are packed and waiting!

I love Nate! I actually got to meet him about two years ago. He was doing a book signing at the B&N near my house. Amazing! So cute. He will always be my gay husband. I even got a couple of great shots of me and him. I'm tempted to make it my Christmas card!
