Last Night...Under The Stars With Southern Living and West Elm

It is not everyday that you are invited to an intimate dinner with the editors of Southern Living and the creative team from West Elm.  So, when I received the invitation for just such a night I was happy to join.  It was beautiful, relaxed and just what you would expect from both companies....
The party was held in celebration of the West Elm opening in Birmingham.   My deep love for West Elm has been well documented WELL DOCUMENTED on this blog so you know I am very happy to have them in our back yard.
The festivities were held at Jones Valley Teaching Farm and if you live in or near the 'Ham you really need to check it out.  It is such a cool place.
Sometimes I feel like lovely table settings never actually "happen".  It is like they are a figment of the imagination.  Something you see online or in print but not actually in the real world.  But this, this was not fiction....
Somehow I managed to leave without one "people" picture, well except this one.  If I come across any I will repost here if I can.  Below- shoe twins!  The other pair belonged to Courtney from The Scout Guide (friend and former office neighbor).  Turns out we both have been eyeing the Rag and Bone Version but both bought these instead....go figure.  (although I have not ruled out the possibility that the R&B might still live in my closet this year).
I want to send a huge thank you to Southern Living, West Elm and Jones Valley Teaching Farm, it was a very enjoyable evening and I thankful I was able to be a part of it.

Oh wow, that tablescape and setting is dreamy. I agree it seems like these dinners don't ever materialize in the real world. It looks magical! Glad you got to attend such a wonderful event.

what fun! What an honor too! We got a West Elm last year and it is so great to have one in person so you can check out all the decorative things you miss when you look at a catalogue! Cute cute shoes!!

I can only imagine how lovely it was to dine in the evening light and what an honor to be among the creative teams of both.

Any insightful conversations?
