I Am Going To Need Someone To Explain This To Me...

I have been seeing these Pop Phones everywhere.  I have to admit, I just don't understand the draw here.  Retro- check. Plenty of color choices- check.  It should be right up my alley but I feel like I am missing something.  I am thinking maybe it is a comfort thing but I could be wrong.  So, for those of you out there who own and love a Pop Phone please explain...I am all ears.
Above image West Elm but you can find these everywhere, EVERYWHERE.

Thanks for this - I don't get it either - maybe at home - but not for carrying around. Isn't the point of the mobile phone to be small & compact??

So you can talk with the phone resting on your shoulder and have your hands free, like in the old days.

My niece have one, and it is for comfort. I like it, would love to have one when talking on my cell at home. I don't like my cell phone up to my ears all the time. Plus with this, if you're on your phone a minute at home you can play games, check your email, etc. while talking.

I don't have one but I want one. They look so comfortable. We have one rotary dial phone in our house w/the old style headset and everybody want to use that one!

I bought one last year for my boyfriend. He made a lot of phone calls during the day, and used his cell phone. I prefer talking on an actual phone, and the normal phone at work is so much more comfortable than using my cell phone. So, I got it for him, and he loved it. He thought it was hilarious to use it in the car. (I guess I was a year ahead of the rush!)
I've noticed them everywhere too!

I'd love one. When you have to make a lot of calls on your cell for work/play it's a lot more comfortable.

It's like a reminder to not forget the landlines even though we have celphones nowadays lol

I work from home and use my iPhone for everything since we don't have a land line. My neck/shoulders would really appreciate this for those long phone interviews when I'm trying to hold my phone to my ears and type at the same time! Hmm I think I just added it to my Christmas list ...

it helps with not having the radiation from your cell phone right next to your brain....a lot of people are thinking that cell phones are causing brain cancer- this at least makes you think you are further from the radiation...i try and use mine all the time...
