A Very Special Easter

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him." John 3:16-17

Sixteen years ago in April my Dad was making rounds in the hospital (he is an Oncologist) when he had massive heart attack resulting in a triple bypass.  Had he not been in the hospital at the time of the attack the result would have been tragic.  This past week, almost to the day, we relived these events with very serious heart problems resurfacing again, this time while in a doctor's care.  Without going into much detail, it was a long few days with a very, very blessed ending.

All that to say; today is about renewed life, whether on this earth or after.  I am so grateful to God that I have my Dad to celebrate another Easter with, but also I am so thankful for the promise of hope, peace and life after death and the comfort that brings.  Happy Easter to you all.

Happy Easter Marianne! This post made me teary. I am so glad that your Dad is okay. Even though we know that this life is just to prepare us for eternal life in heaven...we don't want to say goodbye to our loved ones.

I will be praying for your family this week. I too have been having heart issues and am currently under the care of a cardiologist. It is very scary.

Blessings yo you.
