In My Head

In my head I am Martha Stewart...
I am one step ahead, I cook great meals and my drawers all look like this...
 Ooohh, or even this....
But in real life (or as was the case last night) I am one hour late for supper club* and I show up with store bought cookies and wine purchased last minute at Walmart while picking up formula which we are almost out of because I am in fact never one step ahead.

C'est la vie.....Happy Friday!

*And if you are more like me than Martha I hope you have a group as wonderful as this supper club because they don't mind.

**Also, as many of you have pointed out, those Walmart cookies are actually really good.  I had never had them before but I was pleasantly surprised.

Love your transparency. If you and I had a team to implement all those things in Martha's head, we'd all be Martha. LOL!! Happiest Weekend blessings

In my head, I'd like to be Martha Stewart, but I know I'll never be. And in reality, I don't know if I'd want to be. Wine and cookies sound good to me!

Those are my husband's favorite cookies. It's nice to have a group of friends who just want your company - supper club sounds like fun. Henry is such a doll! Thanks for sharing.

I think that sounds like a pretty fantastic evening! Oh, and one of my worst "reality" formula stories is having to go to the 24-hour Wal-Mart in the HOOD to get the special formula my Henry was on. I wandered around the baby section forever wondering where the heck the formula was ... only to ask and find out that it was LOCKED UP at the cash register with the cigarettes.

I'm pretty impressed that you can even make it to a supper club, store-bought cookies or not! You are doing a whole heck of a lot more than I did with my first baby. :) He is absolutely ADORABLE!

What you dont see is that Martha has 100 hands doing all that work behind the sceens. At least thats what I keep having to tell myself because I am never one step ahead either.

OMG, I want to pinch those cheeks, he is so friggin cute!

Marianne, this made me smile. I always say my saddest moment was when I realized that "Marthat Stewart" was not one person, but a slew of the most creative and Type-A people in the world, and that I would, in fact, never be "Martha." Unless I got a staff. And because kinda difficult to be around.
Those cookies ARE good, and there will be a time when it feels easier-- it might be a few years, but someday:-)
