It Is A Tradition Right?

This is the third time this image has appeared on H&H. That makes it a tradition right? I prefer to think of it that way rather than a blogger no-no. I just love it so much....One day when we have a staircase (you know, in my "one day" home that also will have a fireplace) I will recreate this. By then you might have seen this image 10 more times! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas week!!!

I've featured that image at least twice myself. I love that something as inexpensive as the tissue bells can create such fun and drama when used en masse.

This is really festive and it really makes the staircase show up.

Although I am not in the "blogging world" I'd file this picture in with things like a smile or i love you, you can't over use them and they never go out of style!
As my husband's theology teacher used to say as the kids were leaving excitedly for Christmas..."Happy Birthday Jesus!"

Decorating your handrail can be a lovely tradition and this can be a charming and inexpensive option. As the daughter of a first grade teacher who hung and reused honeycomb decorations every year, even those most carefully handled can get a little ratty. As the mother of 2 energetic boys who had lots of little friends running through the house and are now grown, those may not hold up will if you have children (or pets).

If you're sentimental, keep them as part of your tradition even if they look ratty. If not, it's OK to buy new bells or use a completely different material. I hadn't seen this picture on other blogs and appreciate that you shared it. As we don't yet have grandchildren, these might stay in good shape here unless the kitties find them interesting to bat around, as the crackling noise would be appealing. It's interesting what you learn to consider when making choices and the things that will still surprise you.

Haha! I love that you are turning it into a tradition...I think I might steal that philosophy from you :) And that staircase is adorable, so why wouldn't you share it more than once?

I just stumbled across your blog for the first time and thought I would say hello! I looked through a few of your posts and love your style.

I'm a blogger as well, about the world of art, but my history is in interior design and fashion. I love to hear what people are saying! Hope we get to see more of each other in the future.
