A Client's New/Old House.... For Sale

Remember this nursery from one of my favorite clients?A few months ago they moved out of that house into another fabulous house (on Cherry Street in Crestline for the B'ham residents reading this). While bright and cheerful, it wasn't their taste...some before pics....
So we started laying the ground work for their new abode....But you never know what lies just around the corner. Their journey is now taking them to Montgomery. With a heavy heart I will have to say goodbye. However, one lucky family will get to pick up where they left off...
Freshly stained floors, new appliances, updated counter tops, paint, light fixtures, tiles, etc. have breathed new life into this house...
Truly a great family house, every room offers something different. We had only just started this renovation and now they leave a great canvas for the next owners. For example, the draw of this room to many might be the great built-ins but I am fond of the double fans (a labor of love).
Ahhh, another room I love, the guest bath. Do you see the column on the wall of tile? This bathroom has so much potential...
Okay this room does not have much to do with the sale of the house but I had to show you the sofa. Yes, that is my long time love...right there. Oh, the places you'll go...
Well clearly this post on a fabulous house for sale has turned sentimental for me. What can I say? It is a great house, in a great neighborhood. The precious baby from the original nursery has now grown into a little man right before my eyes. When did that happen? In the new house we had started working on his room. What a room it was going to be, beginning with this...
A wall to wall map, so cool. It pains me that this room will never come to fruition. Just to give you a little peek though....the twin beds were a variation of this headboard....

And the bedding was based off this print from Ikea, so much better in person, trust me....Hopefully this will be another lucky child's room...
If you are house hunting in Birmingham definitely give this house a look. For more information please e-mail me. Additional information listed HERE. Thank you to this family for being such wonderful friends and clients, I can't wait to see where life takes you!

xx,

Marianne

Beautiful home. I am still reeling over the sofa- I have the same on in charcoal but was sooo close to getting the blue velvet- seeing it makes me want the velvet so badly- LOVE!!! I also have that IKEA fabric in my playroom and love it- We must have similar taste because I want to put up one of those giant wall maps down there with it:) Good luck to your friends on the sale!

I too absolutely love wall maps! We have one in our family play room. You did a great job with that house...perhaps the new owners will hire you to finish the task in the map room!

I'm so jealous of the family that buys this home. It's beautiful.
What a shame the current family won't get to stay & enjoy it.

MEEEE! I will! I will live in this house in B'ham, mere driving distance from me old pal and live in the "map room" and put pins in all the places I will one day go!!! Now, if I can only get Weedon to take yet ONE MORE Bar Exam... It seems like such a little stipulation and yet is the crux of this entire SCHEME!
Love the house Dew, bravo to a great talent. =)

What a gorgeous home Marianne! I love the wall to wall map in the little man's room. I would love to have a map like that in an office one day, but maybe in all neutral tones. So lovely.

Thank you for sharing! :)

Love the map wall, thinking of doing that in Myles room in the next house, but right now the little ones rooms are the last of my worries!
It is a great home, I do hope someone that loves it will make it their home soon. xo

Love this post. Sorry they are moving away, but Montgomery is not too far for you to do road trips! I was in DSR recently and was talking to Charlann about my blog and she ask me if I knew of you and yours and I told her I read you daily! Mandi

Oh, Maryanne, how I wish I could hire you so you could work your magic on my house! This place is gorgeous! Love what they did and I can see your touches throughout (that light in the dining room is DIVINE!). So glad they painted those pink walls. Yes, the new owners are going to find themselves in a lovely abode indeed. :)

The new owner must be so lucky! I'm so jealous. I like the new color. The kitchen is really nice. I like the gray and white combination. The bathroom's tile is quite new, btw. I hope to see one of these styles when I go to Sarasota.
