Quiet Time

I randomly came across this and thought in the midst of all the bullying and everything else going on it was pretty timely. I think I am nice to everyone...compassion and kindness I would like to think are strong traits of mine. But what about that slow driver when I was late, what words crossed my mind. Or that annoying lady at the grocery store, did I stop to think what she might be going through...nope. Hmmmm. Glad God is patient with me because I have a long way to go.

This is such a great reminder of how we should treat others, how we should extend beyond ourselves. Great piece by Andy Tuerek - I'll have to keep that in mind.

This needs to be up on my wall...it's fairly easy to be compasionate to someone *obviously* distressed and in need...but to someone who's distress isn't so obvious, who has annoyed you or is being "unruly", not so easy. Thank heavens (no pun intended) God gives us His Holy Spirit to help us out, it's tough, daily work and something I'm sure I'll be working on for the rest of my life. xo J~

Marianne, none of us are close enough, but something tells me you are closer than many. You are a very kind and Godly women. I just try to work at it, but I fall back at times. He is always there to pick you up.
Have a nice weekend.
