I was looking for a watercolor on Etsy for a client when I came across this...
You probably know by now my love for lions, well this is no exception. I wanted to press purchase immediately. Well I was able to exert some self control and went on to see what other lions needed to come live with me....
Love the regal feel of the one above and simplicity of the print below....
Yep, want this one A LOT...
For some reason this one reminds me of Harry...
Note to Patrick...when we have children it will be in our best interest, financially speaking, to keep me off Etsy. Love, Love, Love...

love them, the first one for me, the last for my son in his bedroom! thanks for sharing x
Thanks for your sweet comment, Marianne! I love your blog and I love the lion paintings! Thanks again! XOXOXO, cat
Yes, I can see where you would have to exert extreme self control. I especially like paintings 2 and 4-6.

Love so many of these. And yes, Etsy can get you in trouble any time... but much more so when doing a nursery!
BTW, I have a watercolor of Tanner done by the first Etsy artist that you listed!
These are so amazing! Etsy is a black hole for the wallet, isn't it?
These reminded me of my oldest son. From age 3 to age 6 he had an imaginary friend named Poor Thing. Poor Thing was a lion that lived in the old oak tree in our front yard but was often under our dining room table his bedroom or the back seat of our car. He is still crazy about lions now, but Poor Thing doesn't come around much anymore. I would love the 3rd print for him. Fun post! :) Please don't think we are totally nuts - only a little nuts!
Oh my oh my love these lions. I am absolutely in love with the first one,the fourth one and the last one. :)
You met Thom wow that is fabulous:)
keep good
Those are amazing watercolors and my best friend has a birthday in August and she loves lions! Those are absolutely beautiful works of art. Better hurry up and buy one Marianne since I don't want to take the one you truly want to own.
All of the artwork is beautiful but something about that first watercolor speaks volumes to me. Maybe is it the use of color. Couldn't take my eyes off of it.
1 and 2 feel very Aslan-esque. My favorite lion!
Marianne, your lions are beautiful. If I had to choose just one to live with me it's number 3! Happy weekend!
a reader sent this to me because I did a series on lions earlier this week. great minds think alike, i suppose. :)
happy weekend!
