Piece By Piece

I know you are probably familiar with FLOR, I have always thought the idea was a good one but I have never used them. When flipping through the newest catalog, these stripes caught my attention, I may try them in my kitchen..
Have you ever used them?

Great idea! I've used FLOR tiles in my house (not as a rug, but wall to wall) they are easy to install. A little disclaimer though, I used to work for Interface, so I may be a bit biased :o) Seriously, go for it!

we have a few in the laundry room. all mismatched though. I got them really cheap when storehouse went out of business. love this look though.

Love the stripes! I am the same way - I get the catalog and always think they have really cool designs, but have never used them. Have fun!

carpeted my entire last apartment in them...highly recommend. installed over plywood...I am not handy and it looked rather professional, if I do say so myself. I'll email you a pic if I can find one.

Doug's handyjob did look great. I'll vouch for him.

I've had friends use them (we were bad about ordering 'extra' samples when working on projects)... and they always turned out great.

I saw these as I was flipping through a CB2 catalog last night and fell in love with them! The price isn't too bad either.

they were perfect for my college dorm room- easy to transport, put down, and take up. i used the scraps left over from my dad's business.

we used them as an "area" rug in our family room. (one of the martha oatmeal colored styles) and they don't look neat or crisp. the seams are quite obvious and the edges look rough. I think it depends on how polished you want the space to look.

I've used them as wall to wall in my basement (50 ft x 30 ft) and as an entry area rug. They are of very good quality and lay flat. Depending on the pattern it can look unfinished because there's not a formal edge, unless you cut a contrasting border from other tiles. I think the new stripe tiles are terrific.

That first one in navy is awesome. I haven't used them but would love to!

So pretty, I haven't ever used them, but think they would be so nice to have. Especially with kids.

have not used these but I'm dying to- I need to make the rug I have look like it was layered over another. I might just have to try them, I LOVE those stripes.

as a follow-up, our family room is over the garage and the floor (terrazzo) gets very VERY cold. the rubber (I think) backing on the FLOR tiles does provide a nice cushion/pad and insulation from the cold, so I think would be great for finished basement rooms too. and Jesse - definitely order a few extra and swap them out when the playdoh gets too ground in to get out, etc.- it is SUPER easy to swap out damaged tiles - but they are really really durable.
