I have been lucky enough to receive some blog awards and I wanted to say thank you! First the lovely Katie @ Re:Fresh Design Studio and Sarah @ Real Estate Style gave me the Honest Scrap award. For this award you are supposed to tell 10 Honest Things about yourself so here goes:
1. I am horrible at math and believe (although I have never been formally diagnosed) that I am slightly dyslexic with numbers.2. I grew up in Nashville, currently live in Birmingham but I have also lived in New York, Destin, Vail, Memphis and Oxford (Mississippi).

3. I can't stand scary movies. I will not see a scary movie, absolutely refuse. As a kid Gremlins scared me for years.

4. I love talk radio, usually ESPN. I don't know why, I just like to hear people talk when I am driving around and sports radio is generally universally appealing.5. I am very handy, I could be Bob Vila. When it comes to fixing things I am your girl. I love tools and I am particularly good at installing curtains.
6. I despise being cold and I usually am unless it is 90 degrees or above. I dream about having multiple fireplaces that would constantly be burning.
7. I do not like bugs and I am scared of spiders. Even fake spiders give me the heebie-jeebies.8. I have been known to sleep walk and I talk in my sleep on a regular basis.

9. I am addicted to Mexican food especially queso-can't get enough.

10. Some might classify me as forgetful. Names, places, events all seem to slip my mind. (The only exception to this is design related things like fabric, pictures, pieces, etc. I can remember those forever.) I have to keep lists and stay very organized.Thank you ladies for this award, I am so honored! I would also like to thank Kelly @ Fabulous K for the One Lovely Blog award. I really appreciate you thinking of me!!!!
You are supposed to pass these awards along and I would like to pass these along to everyone reading. I am way behind on my blog reading lately and it would take me forever to pick just a few blogs (I can be indecisive too). I love reading all the "10 things" about people so please do share!

***I am 95% sure I am forgetting an award from another blogger and I am sooooo sorry. Please let me know, see #10 for my excuse! It is not that I am not thankful please do mistake my forgetfulness for indifference!

***Number jars Pottery Barn, all other images Country Living

I love it when we can open up in a forum about personal things. That was fantastic!

I completely relate to being forgetful. I wish I could blame it on being a mother, but while I could memorize operas in different languages with great ease, names of people and places escape me. It's horrible.

I had no idea you'd lived in Oxford. Please tll me you haven't already told me you did and I forgot that. al about embarassing My husband and I met while we attended Ole Miss and when we can visit my parents there (its what's called their hurricane home.)

Thanksfor sharing and have a ovely Monday!

The scary movie thing is the same for me. I figure I am better off staying as far away as possible. Also love mexican food....it's the best!

Congrats! The best part about these awards is reading the 10 honest things about yourself. Love that you added pictures!

It was fun to read more about you! I am also really bad with numbers to the point I think I could be dyslexic with numbers too! It's a challenge with interior design, isn't it?

I'm the same way with scary movies too! My husband took me to see I am Legend and neither of us had any idea what it was about. I was crying halfway through and was so mad it was a zombie type movie! :)

I am right there with you on #6... I am cold ALL the time! Which is very unfortunate for me, as Fall and Winter are my two favorite seasons, and skiing is my absolute #1 past time... grr. Fireplaces are a girl's best friend though and I hope some day to have a house with multiples in it, too! :)

Congrats on the award! I loved reading up on all your honest things. You are going to need to give me some curtain hanging lesson. I'm horrible at all things dealing with tools. So poor gets roped into all of my design projects!

Congrats on your awards! I loved hearing your list. We have some things in common! I have number dyslexia, too! I remember my kindergarten teacher shaking me she would get so frustrated with my inability to write numbers. I also live in terror of scary movies. I saw the shining when i was a kid, and I was terrified for years!
thanks for sharing, it was fun to find out more about you!

Wow! Blog awards??!! I had no idea! I've got a lot to learn about this new obsession of mine. It was fun reading a few tidbits about you. I have a feeling we probably have several mutual friends. I went to State (from Columbus, MS) but have been in Bham for 10 years. I can teach you math if you teach me how to hang curtains!

Too funny! I find these facts way too familiar. I can't even watch scary movie previews, I have been craving Lapaz cheese dip since last Thursday, I can't remember anyone's name but can tell you their trim color, I can hardwire chandeliers by myself, from Birmingham- live in Nashville, basically all the same things except I'm in the opposite city! Oh, and raisins tickle my teeth.

Missed this post! A fun read. I too can't stand the cold, and this is now an issue with the arrival of fall...and can't stand scarey movies! NOT at all...spiders are okay, but all other bugs had better stay away!

I'm totally with you on #6 - I think it comes simply from being female & from the South :)
