One Day Tile

Lately I have been working on several kitchen and bath remodels which means I have spent a fair amount of time looking at tile. There are so many options out there I find myself daydreaming about what will go in my "one day" house. Will I go calm and elegant?
Or take a walk on the wild side?

Or maybe ultra clean and contemporary....
Although if you know me, you know that I will probably have to incorporate something geometric. LOVE LOVE LOVE this tub surround and floor...

You don't have to go over the top though to make a statement. I love the way these kitchens use just a pop of blue to make a visual impact.

Images HERE, HERE and HERE (below)

I am thinking about incorporating this into a kitchen possibly using one of these...

Of course, at the end of the day, my true dream kitchen looks something like this...
or this...
And this one is definitely the bathroom of my dreams....
What do you prefer when it comes to tile? Any favorites? Any dislikes?

Before Patrick and I got married, and I lived in my town house, I had bright blue tile countertops in the kitchen. They were gorgeous, but hard to keep the grout clean. I bought those Tide bleach pen thingies for it.

These days, those Moroccan tiles have me swooning. I'd just be afraid they'd date themselves too quickly???

Oh my, it's been 2 years and I still can't decide what tile to do for my kitchen. Maybe next year will be the year?

I fantasise about something quite similar to your white kitchen picture. I'm sure my food would even TASTE better if I had a fabulous kitchen, right?

Love, love, love the tile in that Frank Roop kitchen - my dream kitchen! I adore those mirrors in the yellow bathroom, too.

I love that first kitchen with the blue backsplash!

I am not the biggest fan of tile because grout can get to look pretty poor and harbors lots of icky stuff but then again if the tile looked like this I might be willing to scrub it everyday to have an excuse to stare at it for an hour!

I am drooling over these photos! Oftentimes I think of the same thing and there are so many styles I love. So what to do? One house using each style. Is that too much to ask for? HA

Love tile. Have always been a fan. I say calm & elegant. You can never go wrong. As much as I love the color/patterns--- tile is WAY more permanent than paint and fabric!

wow, so much gorgeousness! I don't even know which ones I love most! But, I love a clean white bathroom, so I have to say your favorite is definitely top on my list! Also pretty crazy about the yellow and white tile with the daisy patterned mirrors... (image 3)... major droolage for that one!
