Everything Old Is New Again: Guest House

James and Jo Ford's guest house isn't just any old house. It is actually their very first house. They sold it over 4 decades ago, then recently purchased it for $1 and moved the structure onto their family property. Think that is sweet? The icing on the cake is their designer son, Brad, made it over for them. Here is a bedroom before and after:What I love: the studded chest as a bedside table, the bedding-especially the pillows, the hanging lamps, the seagrass rug, and last but not least the wallpaper on the back wall. Perfection in a simple way.

I love Country Living and this story was a good one. I liked that they got their son to be the designer.

I just saw it over at Brad's blog. It's an amazing back story. The house will certainly bring a lot of memories back to him.

Oh, I love the makeover! I'll have to go check out the whole story... the concept of just moving a house is such a mystery to me :-), but what a cool idea!
