Yesterday I posted that I wanted to paint my cabinets black/charcoal, which I do, but the desire to paint something REALLY dark came from these. I know these pictures are probably not strangers to your eyes, but isn't nice to see them again?I LOVE Jenna Lyons' home seen in the last two pictures. The paint in her nursery inspired a nursery I recently completed but that will be for another day. Sorry this is so quick, I hope to post more later but I have to run!

I love dark walls! I have chocolate ones in my Living Room and even went black in my little bathroom and I love it!
Just got the May issie of House Beautiful (yeah, I have to suffer a week or two while I wait for our mail to be delivered - arrgghhh!)
ANYWAY...noted an East Coast kitchen where the designer used chocolate brown w/ brass hardware for the cabinets. Guess the spectrum of dark kitchens is moving beyond black!
I looove dark walls (and Jenna Lyons' home!) I have a deep soil brown wall in our study, but I have been wanting black walls for the last while now. And I stained my kitchen cabinets ebony a few years ago, although they are almost more of a dark dark brown, and I do love them (although I also love white and grey kitchens, so I have no idea what I will do with our next house!)
The more I see rooms painted black, the more i like the trend. I don't think I could ever go with black paint, but it's less harsh than I originally thought.
I really do love dark walls. I can't wait to get out of this apartment so my husband and I can do something like these rooms!
The 3rd picture paint color looks like my living room! And the white bedding is like my couch. It makes me happy :)
love her house...i have a dark entry and love it...adds a little something special.
