Everything Old Is New Again: Found Magazine

While going through some old magazines I came across a 2007 Midwest Living I hadn't read. This showhouse, the Stonelake Idea Home from the September/October 2007 issue, is attractive to me because it is simple, but well done. Nothing is over the top, but it looks very put together.I am always a sucker for a lantern.
How fun is the big flag and wall of wood for the fireplace?

I love finding old issues that are new to me. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to catch up on my blog reading!

  8. I LOVE that kitchen... It is so so beautiful! Thanks for sharing these photos. You are right in that the simplicity behind this design is exactly right for the house. Nothing too extravagant nor over the top, but just right. :)

  10. I love the wood stacked by the fireplace, too, and love going through my old magazines - just can't seem to ever give them up! You know, there is just a certain population of us out there who do this - others cannot imagine why I would hold on to so many magazines, especially when we move!

  23. The brick in that kitchen works so well with this style. It's one reason I still love seeing into the homes of Boston; so many include that touch that is not seen too often.

  25. I'm very taken with the round dining table Marianne. I've always had to opt for a long rectangle because of our 5 kids & all their mates, but I've secretly yearned for something just like this - small & intimate.
