Visiting An Old Friend

After this post on Tuesday I thought I would revisit the room I was originally looking for in the October 2007 House Beautiful. Several of these rooms have been posted already in my style in one (or several) picture posts.

I was pleasantly surprised though to find that this house was actually done by Kay Douglass, owner of my favorite store South of Market, a fact that had escaped me the first few times around.




Love the light fixtures in all the rooms and the ceiling in the kitchen.
Some homes I never tire of studying, this is definitely one.

    This style...refined, yet a bit of rustic would look great in my home! :) I'm in love,love, love! That kitchen table is to die for!

    That bedroom has always been one of my faves, but as yet, I've only had it in tear-sheet form, thanks for the digital upgrade!

    Love love love the chairs at the foot of the bed. It all looks so clean but lived in at the same time.

    (Sigh)...I was captivated as I looked into the window of South of Market in Charleston, but it was closed :( We didn't get back to that area so that I could actually go in...which was probably for the best!

    Belgian style! I'm obsessed with that dining room. One time I put it as my desktop background- creepy, i know.

    I LOVE these images! I've had that first pic tagged forever and always look at it and sigh. I love those tufted chairs at the foot of the bed. And how she infuses a bit of rustic in every room. Love it!

    Ohh very pretty! I adore the first picture. It looks cosy and the chairs make me want to curl up with a book and tea =)

    was just at SOM and saw Kay yesterday! everytime one of her homes is published I'm reminded how good she is...this one is my favorite!

    Adore the kitchen's wood ceiling. I love the raw appeal. Those tufted chairs in pic#1 are terrific.
