First of all I love them. I don't have them in the kitchen, though, but many people do choose them for that application. If you use a pre-finished wood floor the warranty is void if you use water to mop them. Wood and (very much) water simply don't mix and it doesn't take a lot of water to do damage. But, with that said, I tell my customers who want wood in their kitchens "that is what you have insurance for." If your dishwasher or icemaker leaks, you will have the inconvenience of replacing wood flooring because it will warp and buckle. Anyway, just a few tidbits on wood...some things to consider. I wouldn't let it "scare" me out of using wood in a kitchen because you see it every day....you just need to be aware of the pros and cons and make a decision based on correct information. Hope this helps!

SusieSusie (So Blessed)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03698938701424037004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6027267895238090426.post-32931026946612488802009-08-05T10:05:13.387-05:002009-08-05T10:05:13.387-05:00those lucite chairs are wild!those lucite chairs are wild!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05183231711425591135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6027267895238090426.post-26727038229436986652009-08-05T09:10:17.650-05:002009-08-05T09:10:17.650-05:00Thank you all so so so much for your input! I prefer a width of 5 inches or more and always do a custom mix stain for clients.
