I have been in the mood for a change in my living room and I have been wanting to use this Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa fabric for a long time. Sooo, it only seemed logical that the blue fabric join forces with my living room chairs. Special fabric for special chairs. What didn't seem logical was using pretty expensive fabric in Henry's direct firing line so the seat (still currently in previous fabric) is going to be something a little cheaper. Update to follow...
However, as excited as I am about the change inside; the best purchase of the weekend came in a different blue form. A plastic, $16 from Lowe's sort of form...
A pool for my bathing beauty.
Both purchases- worth every penny.

These tables are available, $150 for the pair. I don't have the dimensions on me but I will post when I have them. They are roughly 15"High x 16"Wide. Shorter than your average coffee table they would be great in front of a low sofa or as side tables for accent chairs. If interested please e-mail me @ firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are outside of Birmingham freight must be scheduled by buyer.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Another Scotts Antique Market...Let's start with the best part shall we? My friend and fellow blogger Rachel and I live in each other's home towns and try as we might to get together it seems like we are always passing each other on I-65. So we decided to rendezvous in Atlanta instead, and it was nice to look around with another set of eyes.
I fell so in love with these rugs one came home to live with me in my bathroom. It was just the update I needed.
Eyed several old signs for interesting wall decor...
Didn't buy these but they definitely had the wheels spinning. May have to come back to these for something.
Old globes have been on my radar for
months years now. Still waiting for the right place.
Let me tell you, big, vintage (or reproduction, boo) letters are in now, they were everywhere. And I do really like them.
I was whipping out my checkbook for these until I saw the ol' sold sign, sigh. I would have loved you and given you a good home.
Loved the base...
Pondering these for Nashville client...
Wanted these for lake client-made from old wood skis, how cute would they be in a rec room or on the porch?

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11
Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, for whom there are no words to express my love and gratitude for her, and all the Moms out there! As a first time mother this verse brings me such comfort.

Today I will be back on Talk of Alabama with a "bright color" inspired nursery. These designs are not the exact room the winner will receive, just an inspiration. Have you voted today? Click on the button to the left to help one deserving family win!

I had planned on getting 6 month pictures taken of Henry, so you know how it goes... at 8 months we finally booked a date with the very talented Emily Joy Gresham. Emily Joy took Henry's
newborn 6 week pictures and I loved them so I was very excited to work with her again. She had her work cut out because the smiliest baby in the world (we can't walk two feet in the grocery store without stopping because he is flirting with someone) would not crack one smile. Unheard of, but that is the way it goes right? Somehow, in the midst of all his seriousness she was able to get some great pictures, here are just a few...
That hair... as wild as he is.
My men- could.not.love.them. more.
For more information on Emily Joy's work (I highly recommend her) you can visit her blog or find her HERE.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
This past week my dear friend Bullen graduated with an AS degree from Jefferson State Community College. He will also be only two semesters away from BS degree. Funding and prayers are needed! You might remember his story from THIS POST, but you can also learn more about his moving journey and mission HERE.

Yesterday this was delivered to a clients house. I will get a better picture not from my phone but it looks great! We had loved this fabric for a while but it is eye-catching and needed just the right place. Finally it found its home on bench in a otherwise very calm room. It was just the right punch the room needed.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I was flipping through what will surely be one of my new go-to wallpaper books yesterday when I thought, "Ohhh, zebra, so fun!". The very next second I thought, "Wait....is this really so fun or I am so emerged in all things design my compass is off?"
Soooo, I thought I would ask you! Thoughts?

It is time to work on the porch again. Items on the list this year are: to repaint the stripes (they are in need of some touch ups), possibly paint the ceiling (although I have been saying that for years), repaint the swing and get a new cushion.
On the top of that list is to copy this idea somehow. Every since I saw this photo on Pink Wallpaper I have not been able to get it out of my head. I am thinking on basket in each corner...
